Matt arrived at short notice and his service was excellent. Friendly, professional and delivered more than we expected. We highly recommend these guys and will be using them for all our plumbing needs.

We were notified of a gas leak within our property during a recent high pressure gas line upgrade in our neighbourhood and had access to the gas network shut off, which left us without hot water and heating for 24 hours in the middle of a Melbourne winter. Lachlan and Matt from ARP arrived at 7.30am the next morning and worked tirelessly locate and repair the leak which required a lot of crawling under the house and in the roof cavity. Very professional and courteous throughout the whole ordeal and even offered to vacuum the house once the job was completed. These boys are definitely worthy of a 5 Star rating.

In writing this review, I will begin with saying that AJR Plumbing have earned our deepest respect and admiration for their professional and unrelenting commitment to customer satisfaction, despite unforeseen setbacks and inclement weather. We called AJR Plumbing for a quote to install a stormwater grate/ trench in our rear courtyard and connect it to a nearby downpipe stormwater drain as rainwater was entering our family room under the track of sliding glass doors. What should have been a straightforward job, quickly struck an unexpected problem whereby the necessary jackhammering to cut the concrete aggregate accidently compromised unforeseen electrical conduits buried within. An electrician (John) was urgently summoned to inspect and repair the damage.  As it turned out, this extremely fastidious and competent electrician made more than one visit to ensure that every precaution was taken to avoid ongoing problems. As a result of the jackhammering, our kitchen/family room was covered in thick dust, which I initially thought was going to require a week’s worth of cleaning.  However, a wonderful young man (An) was brought in to completely and meticulously clean every surface to my exacting requirements, all with a smile! Because of the heavy rain during this whole exercise, it took much longer than expected and required several visits from the ever willing and friendly Darren to vacuum out the rainwater and ensure the waterproof membrane was completely dry before installation of the grate, which had to be custom-made to fit the unusual dimensions of the job and eventually installed, after which, the surrounds were finished off with concrete closely matching the colour of the aggregate in the courtyard. Upon completion of the job, Matt P (the very capable and friendly young plumber who had managed the project) returned with a high pressure wash to leave everything immaculate and clean. About halfway through the work, our electric hot water tank ruptured, and what could have been a major inconvenience and unexpected problem was swiftly dealt with, and a new hot water tank was sourced and installed with a few hours.  This had nothing to do with the job at hand, but Matt P took control and with the help of the electrician, we had hot water the same night.  Very grateful! Although this job took longer to complete than anticipated and threw up more than one complication, we were extremely impressed by and grateful for the care and attention that every member of the Robertson team took with each aspect of the work.  Each visit was communicated well, and we were more than happy to have each of the tradesmen  in our home as they were all friendly and respectful and more than obliging. Thank you to Rob and Andrew and all the team for such professional and expert work.

Contacted AJR for a complicated partial renovation of a bathroom in a 1950s apartment. Ash supplied a clear, detailed 3 stage quote that solved all problems and required coordination with a tiling firm. Very easy to deal with. I called one telephone number and a real person answered. Licensed, courteous and professional plumbers were dispatched to my property in good time, who called me ahead of time to advise of their ETA. Our issue was resolved within only a few short hours. Highly recommended.

Simple job to repair a toilet leak (toilet was "running"). Called mid-afternoon to book the job. Plumber arrived on-time (10am next business day), repaired, cleaned up afterwards. In and out in <1 hour. $264 inc tax.

Got quoted a ridiculous $2,700 to fix a leaking toilet (from an unnamed plumber 🙄). Pretty sure my elderly father was being sized up for a rip-off, I called Andrew J Plumbing instead. He came over that same afternoon, fixed the leak, and the bill was $248. His contact is now officially saved in my phone as “Honest Plumber.” Legend. 🚽✨
